About Us

Danelle was born and raised in Oyen, and is the daughter of Paul and Bev Lijdsman, making her the fourth generation to own the business . In 2005 she graduated from the Business Administration and Insurance program through Mount Royal College. In 2006 she completed the Chartered Insurance Professional program with the Insurance Institute of Canada. Danelle enjoys chasing her two kids around to hockey, dance, baseball and various other events. When she’s not busy with her kids she can be found reading or cross stitching.

Spencer was born and raised in Oyen and has a farming background. He graduated High School in 2004, then moved to Calgary for 2 years where he attended Mount Royal College to complete his Business of Insurance and Administration Diploma. While still in college, he wrote his insurance license and got a job as a broker at Fleming Insurance. In 2006 he moved back home to Oyen to work at Lijdsman Insurance and at the family farm. He is a member of the Oyen Volunteer Fire Department, he enjoys spending time with his two daughters and his wife.

Born and raised in Oyen, she is the granddaughter, daughter and sister of the Lijdsman family. She has been working alongside her brother Paul for 30 years and she continues to work alongside Danelle, her niece and Spencer. Trudy also tends to Fish & Game and manages the accounts of the office. In her spare time, Trudy enjoys camping, spending time with her family and watching great nieces and nephews play sports.

Mary moved from Manitoba in 1999 with her family to the little town of Oyen, where they owned and operated the local grocery store for a number of years. She met her husband and moved to his family farm, where they run livestock. After they sold the store, Mary started her insurance career. She enjoys spending time at the lake with her husband and dog, and looking after the cows.

Morgan was born and raised on a farm near Esther, a hamlet just outside of Oyen. She moved to Medicine Hat for a couple years to attend Medicine Hat College where she received her Business Administration Diploma. Morgan moved back to Oyen to be closer to family and that is when her insurance career began. She enjoys golfing, traveling, and watching hockey. Go Flames Go.

Brittany was born and raised in Oyen. She graduated from South Central High School in 2016. In 2020 she decided she wanted to do more to help people and began her journey as an Insurance Broker. In her down time she can be seen spending time with her husband and family, hunting, fishing and camping.

Dylan was born and raised in Oyen. He graduated High School in 2017, and took college by storm. He spent a few years in Lethbridge attending school, but something called him back to little old Oyen. When Dylan isn’t hard at work, he enjoys cooking and baking.

Sammy moved to Oyen in 2014 from Lethbridge and fell in love with the area. She decided to take a shot in the Insurance world, and has been enjoying the field ever since. She wears lots of hats in the office and loves to learn everything she can. In her free time, Sammy enjoys camping with her partner and dogs, cooking, baking and reading.
